Hello and welcome to the MFT March Release Countdown Day 1! All of your new favorite products will be available for purchase tonight, March 6th, at 9PM EST at the MFT Shop. Woo-hoo!
Today, I’d love to share with you a floral card using the new and beautiful Pressed Flowers Set combined with one or my favorite Cover-Up Dies.
For the flowers, I stamped a few larger and smaller flowers in both Spearmint and Coral Crush Premium Dye Inks. I then added contrasting colors on each flower with Tropical Teal and Red Hot Premium Dye Inks respectively. I added a few strokes on each flower with a white colored pencil and a few strokes with a teal colored and coral colored pencil on the matching flower. I then heat embossed the center of each flower with White Detailed Embossing Powder and used the coordinating dies to easily cut them all out.
For the foliage, I used the Fab Foliage Die-namics with Milk Chocolate Prestige Card Stock. I diecut some white card stock using the Split Chevron Cover-Up Die and glued a clear piece of acetate to the inside of this piece. I then added some foam adhesive tape to the back side of this frame and added a mix of teal, coral and clear sequins before attaching this piece to the base of my card.
I used some foam squares to attach the flowers to the front of the card and added a sentiment from the new Beautiful Day Stamp Set. I once again used Super Fine Detail White Embossing Powder to heat emboss this sentiment onto some Tropical Teal Card Stock. I used one of the smaller sentiment strips from the Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strips to diecut this piece and glued it to the front of my card. Lastly, I added some clear dew drops for some added interest.
