Hello! It’s time to shop the new release from My Favorite Things! I have one more card to share with you today for the final day of this month’s new release countdown.
I used a few of the cute little images from the new Sunshine & Friendship Stamp Set, illustrated by the amazing Birdie Brown. I get a chuckle every time that I look at this card. I love the expression on the rhino’s face as the alligator is jumping toward him in the water.
I stamped all of my stamped images with Copic friendly Black Ink and colored them with Copic Sketch Markers. I used the coordinating Sunshine & Friendship Die-namics to cut them out. For my background, I blended some Worn Lipstick, Spun Sugar, Fossilized Amber, and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Inks onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110 lb Card Stock. I added some splatters of water and then gently blotted it dry with a paper towel. Once dry, I also splattered this panel lightly with diluted Opaque White Paint as well as some diluted Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Ink.
For my ocean and beach, I used the Beach Scene Builder Die-namics and diecut all of my pieces from a sheet of Smooth White Card Stock. I blended the ocean with Evergreen Bough and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink. I used Copic Markers (E41, E42, and E43) to color the sand. I also used Copic Sketch Markers to color the palm tree.
Prior to adhering my card together, I stamped my sentiment onto the lower portion of the beach with Black Ink. I then adhered my images with liquid adhesive, except for the alligator for whom I used some 3D Foam Adhesive Squares to give him some more depth.
