I hope you all enjoyed the My Favorite Things July Release that debuted yesterday! There were so many awesome new stamp sets to choose from! Today starts a new Wednesday Sketch Challenge!

I combined some of the newest stamp sets with a few previously released ones for my take on this week’s sketch. And, although dolphin is actually a mammal and not a fish, I thought that these two images looked so cute together and that my recipient would get the gist of what was being said instead of being too technical, lol.

I stamped all of my images onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock, colored with Copic Sketch Markers, and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. The mermaid is from the newly released Mermaid for Each Other Stamp Set, the dolphin from the BB Friends With Fins, and the cute little fish up top and the sentiment came from the adorable Fish You Were Here Set.

For my background, I heat embossed the Whimsical Waves Background Stamp onto a sheet of Smooth White Card Stock with Fine Detail Clear Embossing Powder. I then blended some Shaded Lilac and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Inks on top of my embossing once it was dry. For my sentiment, I heat embossed it with Fine Detail Black Embossing Powder onto a strip of Heavyweight Translucent Vellum. Lastly, I added my images with some 3D Foam Adhesive Tape to give them more dimension.
