Hello! It’s time for the latest Wednesday Sketch Challenge from MFT Stamps! I love the layout on this sketch and had a lot of fun playing with it.
I combined both the Birdie Brown Gill Friends and Friends with Fins Stamp Sets for my card today. I used the sketch layout to create a sandy ocean floor along with some swimming sea creatures above.
For the ocean floor, I used the Drifts & Hill Stencil and Blended some Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy Distress Oxide Inks onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock.
I then masked this section off and blended some Cracked Pistachio and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Inks to create my water. I splattered both sections (separately so they wouldn’t bleed together) with some water and diluted Opaque White Paint for some added texture and interest.
I added some ocean foliage using the Under the Sea Die-namics. Lastly, I created my sentiment by stamping it with Black Ink onto White Card Stock and diecutting it with one of the Stitched Fishtail Sentiment Strips Die-namics.
Here’s a look at this week’s sketch. Come play along for a chance to win a $50 MFT Gift Voucher! (Winner is chosen randomly.) Make sure to stop by the MFT Blog for some more WSC inspiration.
