Hello friends! I have some exciting news to share with you! We’re opening up the vault! With 13 years of experience under their belts, My Favorite Things is thrilled to re-discover some classic MFT designs and share them with you all over again! We might unearth an old favorite with a new twist, or possibly a brand-new-to-you design you missed out on in the past! We’re confident that this month’s vault contains something you’ll love!

My card today features the Artist Palette & Brush Die-namics. I absolutely LOVE this cute little set! To start, I first used the Wood Plank Background Stamp and stamped it onto a sheet of Kraft Card Stock with some Milk Chocolate Premium Dye Ink. I then diecut my palette from this piece and lightly blended it with some Gathered Twigs Distress Ink to give it some depth.

For the small “blobs” of paint, I diecut them from a small piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and then used my Copics to color them. Once I had finished coloring them, I adhered them onto my palette with some liquid adhesive and then added some Glossy Accents to give it a more realistic, 3D look.

Copic Colors Used (For Paint on the Palette)
- Pink: RV02, RV52, RV55, RV66
- Orange: YR12, YR04, YR09, E34
- Yellow: Y06, Y08, Y15, E34
- Green: YG01, YG06, YG17, YG67
- Blue: B00, B01, B04, B06
- Indigo: B60, B63, B66, B69
- Violet: V01, V04, V06, V09

For my background, I trimmed a piece of watercolor paper to 4.25″ x 5.5″ and added a Stitched Rectangle Frame with some liquid adhesive. I then used some Mission Watercolor Paints and a large paint brush to paint a stroke of each color in a horizontal direction across the paper inside of the frame. Once dry, I then splattered it with both diluted White and Black Paint.
