Hello, everyone! There are only 2 days left until the latest release from My Favorite Things becomes available! I have a special treat for you today! TWO more stamp sets from Birdie Brown!

My card today features the BB Lessons in Love Stamp Set combined with a few of the accessory stamps from the BB Favorite Teacher Set. I love these two stamp sets! They’re perfect for creating the sweetest cards to give to your favorite teacher, mentor, or instructor etc.

I stamped my image with Copic friendly Black Ink onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110 lb Card Stock. Copic colors used: (Skin: E0000, E000, E21, E11, E04; Hair: E50, E51, E53, E55; Cardigan: 0, W00, W0, W2, W4, W5; Blue Shirt: B0000, B01, B04, B06; Skirt: E40, E41, E42, E43, E47).

For my chalkboard, I simply trimmed a piece of Black Licorice Card Stock into a small rectangle. I then heat embossed my sentiment with Fine Detail White Embossing Powder. To get my “chalky” look, I simply used my finger to lightly wipe some white ink across the piece.

I then stamped the ruler and a triangle from the Favorite Teacher Stamp Set with that same white ink and also stamped my equation E=mc2 from the Mini Well-Connected Alphabet & Numbers Stamp Set. I also added part of my equation with a white colored pencil. For the frame of my chalk board, I trimmed a rectangle from smooth white card stock that was slightly larger than my black rectangle. I then blended this piece with some Gathered Twigs and Ground Espresso Distress Inks to give it a wooden look.

For my card background, I used the English Brick Wall Stencil and lightly blended it with Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink onto an A2 sized (4.25″ x 5.5″) panel of Smooth White Card Stock.

I adhered my chalkboard to my card base with liquid adhesive and added the image of my teacher with some 3D Foam Adhesive Squares for some added dimension.

So well done, what realism on the blackboard!
Thank you, Kathy! I was really happy with how much the white ink looked like chalk without being messy like chalk lol. :o)
