Hello, crafty friends! I have an awesome new stamp set to share with you today! It’s called the Brush Spatter Background and it is part of the My Favorite Things September Release. All new items will be available tomorrow, September 3rd, at 10 AM EST.

I combined this gorgeous background stamp withe the new Floral Focus Stamp Set. They go beautifully together. So, what is the Brush Spatter Background Stamp? If you look closely at my card, you can see the spatter of green paint flecks in the background. I love ink splatters and apply them quite often to my projects. However, it can be a bit intimidating if you’ve never tried it by hand before.

This stamp takes out all of the guess work! You just ink it up with whatever color(s) you want and stamp it onto your card stock! Doesn’t it look like actual ink splattering? I used a lighter ink (MFT Sour Apple) to make it more subtle but the effect is gorgeous.

For my flowers, I first diecut the outline from a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I then used my MISTI and stamped the flowers onto this diecut with Copic friendly Black Ink. I used Copic Markers to color everything.
Copic Colors Used:
- Teal Flowers: BG0000, BG10, BG11, BG13, BG49, BG78
- Leaves & Stems: YG00, G20, G21, G24, YG17, YG67
- Yellow Flowers: Y02, Y08, Y13, Y19, E35

Lastly, I heat embossed my sentiment from the Sending Prayers Stamp Set onto Black Licorice Card Stock with Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder. I diecut this strip with the Skinny Strips Die-namics and then trimmed it down to size.

Once again, don’t forget to stop by the MFT Blog for more release inspiration! Make sure to leave a comment there for a chance to win a $75 MFT Gift Voucher!

Love how you used the splatter stamp, it really creates a nice even texture to this gorgeous card
Thank you so much, Kristen! It’s such a great stamp because you can control where the ink goes!
