Hello! Today starts a brand new Sketch Challenge from My Favorite Things! Come be creative and play along for a chance to win a $50 MFT Gift Voucher! (Winner is chosen randomly.)

For my take on today’s sketch, I used the newly released Piles of Fun Stamp Set illustrated by Stacey Yacula. To get the striped look on the bottom portion of my card, I used the Wood Plank Background Stamp for a subtle effect. I stamped this with Gravel Gray Premium Dye Ink onto a sheet of Gravel Gray Prestige Card Stock and trimmed it to size.

I added another strip across the top of my wooden patterned piece with some dark brown card stock and heat embossed my sentiment onto the right side with some Fine Detail White Embossing Powder.

I stamped all of my images with Copic friendly Black Ink and colored them with Copic Sketch Markers. I used the coordinating Piles of Fun Die-namics to cut them out and adhered them to the front of my card with some 3D Foam Adhesive Squares for added dimension. Prior to adding my images, I lightly blended the top portion of my card with some Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink.

Here’s a look at this week’s sketch. Again, I encourage you to challenge yourself and play along! Make sure to drop by the MFT Blog for more challenge inspiration and the link to enter your projects!
