Hello, crafty friends! It’s time for a new Wednesday Sketch Challenge from My Favorite Things!
It have to admit, but it took me a little bit to figure out what I wanted to do for my take on this week’s sketch. But I realized that once I reversed the sketch, I could use the one side as a snowy slope and the other as a snowy sky. I love this image from the Birdie Brown Ready, Set, Snow Stamp Set because he fits perfectly on this background.
I used some Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide Ink to blend my sky onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Once dry, I then used the Snowfall Stencil and some Opaque White Texture Paste to create my snow. I absolutely love this stencil and use it quite often for my winter cards.
I stamped all of my images with Copic friendly Black Ink and colored with Copic Markers. (Colors used: Whites: 0, C00, C2, C4; Blues: B21, B24, B37, B39; Teal: BG11, BG13, BG49; Greens: YG61, YG63, YG67, YG97.)
Lastly, I stamped my sentiment with Black Ink and then added my images with some 3D Foam Adhesive Tape for added dimension.
Here’s a look at this week’s sketch! Come play along for a chance to win a $50 MFT Gift Voucher. (Winner is chosen randomly.) Stop by the MFT Blog for more sketch inspiration!
