Hello friends! We are halfway through the MFT Stamps October Release Countdown! In just three more days, you can make this amazing new release yours! I absolutely love the stamp set that I used on my project to share with you today.
It’s called Sun-Lovin’ Santa and it’s filled with cute tropical images of Santa and his summer gear. I live in a tropical region in the US, so it’s usually hot and sunny during the Christmas Season instead of cold and snowy. However, you don’t have to live in a tropical climate for this set to work its way into your heart!

To start, I stamped all of my images with Copic friendly Black Ink onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I then colored them with Copic Sketch Markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

I then went to work on my background by using the Drifts & Hills Stencil to blend in some sand drifts with some Distress Oxide Inks. I also used some ink blending for the sky, concentrating more color toward the base of the sky and fading out with the lightest color as I moved upward. Once finished, I masked off my sky portion and splattered the sandy area with both diluted Opaque White Paint and Brown Watercolor Paint to add some texture.

Once dry, I stamped my sentiment with Black Ink onto the top left hand area of my card. Lastly, I added my images with some 3D Foam Adhesive Squares for added dimension.

Don’t forget to drop by the MFT Blog for more sneak peeks and inspiration! Make sure to leave a comment there for a chance to win a $75 MFT Gift Voucher!

Love the speckled sand!
Thank you, Sherri! <3
Love your sky coloring….. it actually looks like a very, very warm place to be. Everything is so shiny looking, and the sand is wonderfully textured.
Thank you so much, Sandy! I appreciate your sweet comments! :0)
The Kombi van is so iconically Australian! I love it! Santa in his flip-flops and Hawaiian shirt – now there is much to love about this stamp set and card! Such a jolly, colourful ensemble. TFS. Cheers and blessings from Oz, Adam.
Thank you so much, Adam! Hope you had a wonderful weekend!
