Hello, crafty friends! I hope you have been enjoying the past few days of all the new MFT product previews! There are only 24 hours left until you can make your favorite new products yours!

My card today features a number of the new products. Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved snow globes. For whatever reason, they fascinate me. So, I knew that I wanted to use the new Classic Snow Globe Die-namics on my project today. I also paired it with one of the cute Santas from the new Tis the Season Stamp Set. You don’ t need to add a stamped/colored image to the inside of the snow globe if you don’t want to. The set actually comes with an adorable snowman that can be easily assembled after diecutting the separate pieces.
For my background, I used the new Ho Ho Ho Background Stamp and heat embossed it (as shown above) onto a panel of smooth white card stock with Clear Detail Embossing Powder. Once dry, I then blended this panel with some Distress Inks (Ripe Persimmon, Candied Apple, Fired Brick, and Black Soot). I went from the lightest color in the center of my card, to the darkest color right around the outer edges of my card stock.

I then diecut my snow globe from the center of the card and added one of the new Classic Snow Globe Shaker Pouches with some liquid adhesive. I created my snow globe scene on a separate sheet of card stock on which I had blended some blue Distress Oxide Inks (Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass). I also had used some White Texture Paste to add some snow using the new Snowfall-Vertical Stencil.

I used some chunky glitter for my shaker embellishments. I love how shimmery it looks as you shake the card. For the bottom of my snow globe, I diecut the base from white card stock and colored it lightly with some Gray Copic Sketch Markers (0, C00, C2, C4). Lastly, I stamped my sentiment with Black Ink from the new Bitty Holiday Wishes Stamp Set and adhered it to the front of my card.

Love the background!! I think just white on white embossed looks cool too. Then adding the ink blending, just another way to add a cool background!
Thank you so much, Barbara! <3
Oooooo. Love the background with the dark edges. It gives so much depth!
Thank you, Sherri! It’s amazing how much depth you can get just using a small amount of the black ink.
