Hello! It’s time for the latest Vault Release from My Favorite Things! I absolutely love this monthly feature since it’s a time where MFT releases new and improved versions of previously retired stamps and dies.

Today, I have a project to share with you that features the popular BB Merry Christmoose Stamp Set. I just love this sweet little moose as he drinks his cup of hot cocoa (or coffee). My goal for my card today was to set up a cozy little wintery scene.

To start, I first trimmed a piece of Smooth White Card Stock to 4.25″ x 5.5″. I masked off a section for the floor and then blended it quickly with Walnut Stain Distress Ink. I then masked off the floor section once it was dry and then quickly blended an area for the sky with Distress Oxide Inks (Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio, and Tumbled Glass). I then splattered this section lightly with water and then blotted it dry with a paper towel. To add the illusion of snow, I then splattered it again with diluted Opaque White Paint.

I stamped all of my images with Copic friendly Black Ink onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and colored them with Copics. I used the coordinating Merry Christmoose Die-namics to cut them out.

For my card background, I trimmed a piece of Kraft Card Stock for the back wall and then diecut a rectangular area for the window using the Window Die-namics. I then diecut a piece of white card stock with the Window Die-namics and adhered the white window frame and panels inside of the space that I had cut into the Kraft piece. To give the scene a more realistic look, I then trimmed a small strip of white card stock for the baseboard.

I then adhered all of my images to the front of my card. I used liquid adhesive for the items that I wanted to appear in the background and 3D Foam Adhesive Squares to the images that I wanted in the foreground to add dimension to my scene. Lastly, I heat embossed my sentiment with Fine Detail White Embossing Powder to some Black Licorice Card Stock. I trimmed this piece with my paper trimmer and then adhered it to the top right corner of my card.
