Hello, crafty friends! For Day 2 of the October MFT Vault Release, I’m sharing a card using the Birdie Brown Toasty Greeting Stamp Set. I love all things Birdie Brown and this set is just so cute!

I started my card by first stamping all of my images onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. This is my go-to card stock for copic coloring as I have found that the heavier weight card stock has been able to hold deeper color blends without bleeding. However, there are many other options out there that may work better for different coloring styles! Once I had colored my images, I then used the coordinating Toasty Greeting Die-namics to cut them out.

For my card background, I blended a mix of purple Distress Inks (Milled Lavender, Seedless Preserves, and Dusty Concord) onto a 4.25″ x 5.5″ piece of Smooth White Card Stock. I started with the lightest color first in the center of my card and worked my way outward in a circular pattern and blended the darkest color ink around the outer edges. I wanted to create the illusion of light being cast from the fire and this technique works wonderfully to do so.

I splattered some water onto my ink blended background with a #4 brush and let it sit for a minute before blotting it dry with a paper towel. I set this piece aside to dry and once it was ready, I used the Snowfall Stencil to add some snow with some White Texture Embossing Paste. Following that, I then splattered it again but this time with diluted Opaque White Paint. I love the varying size of snowflakes falling from the sky.

Once my background panel was dry, I stamped my sentiment onto one of my snow drifts and adhered them to my card. I also added some snowy pine trees using the new Snowy Scene Builder Die-namics. Lastly, I added my images using 3D Foam Adhesive Tape for some added dimension.
