Hello and welcome! Thank you for joining me for my second post today! It’s time for a new Sketch Challenge from My Favorite Things! For my take on the sketch, I used one of the sweet little reindeer from the new Festive Friends Stamp Set.
For the base of my card, I simply added a 4.25″ x 5.5″ piece of patterned paper from the Candy Land Paper Pack. I then added a rectangular piece of Wild Cherry Card Stock and placed it horizontally across my patterned piece of paper.
I added a Kraft piece of paper that I had diecut using the Stitched A2 Rectangle STAX Die-namics Set 1. Before I adhered it to my card, I added some snow using the Snowfall Stencil and some White Texture Paste. I also added a stitched snow drift that I had diecut twice. Once, using the Stitched Snow Drifts Die-namics and then a second time using the same Stitched Rectangle Die that I had used to cut out my Kraft paper.
I stamped my reindeer onto a scrap of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and colored him with Copics before using the coordinating Festive Friends Die-namics to cut him out. Once done, I then masked his face with a small scrap of paper and lightly splattered diluted Opaque White Paint onto both him and also my Kraft piece. Lastly, I heat embossed my sentiment with Fine Detail White Embossing Powder and then cut it out with one of the Skinny Strips Die-namics.
Here’s a look at this week’s sketch. Stretch your creativity and challenge yourself to come play along!
