Hello crafty friends! We recently celebrated my daughter’s 7th birthday which she requested that it would be “pig-themed”. When she was a baby, my husband and I had bought her an adorable plush pig that has never left her side. She now has 9 of them (all different) and loves all things “pig”!

All that to say, when I first saw this super cute Pig Day Stamp Set from Hello Bluebird Stamps, I knew that it would be perfect for my daughter’s birthday card. To start, I first trimmed a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock to 8.5″ x 3.5″. I then masked off an area on the bottom of the card and blended above it with some blue/green Distress Oxide Inks (Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio, and Tumbled Glass). I then splattered my ink blended area lightly with water to give it more texture and blotted it dry with a paper towel after letting it sit for about a minute.

To add some interest, I then splattered my background with both diluted Opaque White Paint and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink. I love how all the ink splatters makes this pig party look so festive. For my images, I stamped them all with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a separate piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and colored them with Copics. I then used the coordinating Pig Day Die Set to cut them out.
Copic Colors Used:
- Pigs: E0000, E000, E00, E11, E13, R11 (Special thanks to Leanne West who kindly gave me her amazing color combo for coloring pigs!)
- Pinks: RV000, RV00, RV52, RV55, RV66
- Balloon: BG000, BG01, BG02, BG05, BG07
- Yellows: Y11, Y02, Y08
- Birds: B000, B01, B04, B06

I stamped my sentiment with black ink onto the upper left corner of my card panel once my panel was completely dry. Lastly, I added all of my images with some 3D Foam Adhesive Squares to give them some added dimension.

How cute! This cards’ theme is fabulous. The little piglets coupled with tiny bluebirds makes for a happy scene. I am quite partial to that aqua coloured background too. Stunning work. TFS. Cheers and blessings from Oz, Adam.
Thank you, Adam! The background is one of my favorite color combos. :0)
