Hello everyone! I have a very special post to share with you today in honor of a very special cause. This card drive is done in memory of sweet baby, Layton Lawson. You can read all about his story HERE. His mother, Lea Lawson, has started a card drive and fundraiser every year in his honor to help support other NICU parents.

This year, Lea, Kinnari (the owner of Pinkfresh Studio), and graphic designer/illustrator Inna Moreva have come up with a very special stamp set in Layton’s honor.

This beautiful set is called the Forever in Our Hearts 6×8 Stamp Set. This set is filled with many sensitive sentiments that are geared toward pregnancy & infant loss but also includes sentiments given for any type of loss. Honestly, I got all teary-eyed when I first saw this set. It’s hard sometimes to find the right words to tell people and this set is perfect for helping you do that.

I created a card today in honor of Latyon. I used both the Forever in our Hearts Stamp Set and coordinating die. I stamped my butterfly onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and colored with Copics.

I used the above colors of Distress Ink Oxide to create my background. I also added some water splatters for texture as well as some diluted Opaque White Paint as well as diluted Gold and Green Watercolor Paint.
If you would like to participate in Layton’s Legacy Card Drive and or Fundraiser, please check out the links below. There are a bunch of random prizes available to those that participate. I am excited to announce that $5 from the purchase of every stamp set, and $3 from the purchase of every die set will benefit Layton’s Legacy fundraising efforts.

Rachel, this card is simply stunning! Your colouring is so beautiful and that sentiment heartfelt. The butterfly stamp and die are gorgeous – I had not yet seen such a gorgeous butterfly on the market until this beauty showed up; a must-have. A splendid showcase you’ve shared today. Cheers and many blessings from Australia, Adam.
Thank you so much for your sweet comments, Adam! I greatly appreciate each and every one of them!
