MFT Stamps | November MFT & Friends

November 5, 2019

Hello friends! It’s time to shop the latest release from My Favorite Things! I have a fun slimline card to share with you today that features the new Cozy Companions Stamp Set illustrated by Stacey Yacula. I stamped all of my images with Copic friendly Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I then used the coordinating Cozy Companions Die-namics to cut them out.

My card is sized to 8.5″ x 3.5″ and for the background, I trimmed a piece of Kraft Card Stock to approximately 8 3/8″ x 2.5″. I then added a strip of white card stock for a baseboard and a strip of ink blended card stock for the floor. In order to get a rich brown color for the floor, I cut a piece of Smooth White Card Stock and then blended it with both Gathered Twigs and Ground Espresso Distress Inks. Once dry, I then heat embossed my sentiment onto this strip with some Fine Detail White Embossing Powder.

To create the illusion of being in a warm and cozy cabin on a cold and snowy day, I added some windows using the Mini Square Shaker Window & Frame Die-namics. I blended the inner negative pieces with some Stormy Sky Distress Oxide Ink and splattered them with some diluted Opaque White Paint. Lastly, I added my images with some 3D Foam Adhesive Squares for some added dimension.
