MFT Stamps January Release Countdown | Only 5 Days To Go!

January 2, 2020

Hello crafty friends! We’re kicking off the new year with an amazing brand new release from My Favorite Things! I have a card to share with you today that features the newest set from Birdie Brown called Let’s Stick Together.

I just love these images! To start my card, I stamped all of my images with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I then colored them all with Copics before using the coordinating dies to cut them out.

Copic Colors used:

  • Greens: YG0000, G20, YG01, YG13, YG17, YG67, G28
  • Sombrero: Y11, Y15, E00, E04, E35
  • Terracotta Pots: YR00, YR15, E97, E15, E79

I then went to work on my card background by trimming a piece of Smooth White Card Stock to 8.5″ x 3.5″. I then blended some Distress Oxide Inks (Antique Linen, Twisted Citron, and Mowed Lawn) onto this panel and splattered it with water once blended. After blotting it dry with a paper towel, I then splattered it again with diluted white, brown, and green watercolor paints. I let this dry before trimming it down to 3 3/8″ x 8 3/8″.

I layered my card with both White and Field Day Prestige Card Stock. I added some frames from the new Trendy Tag Die-namics that I had cut from white card stock. I then adhered all of my images in the center of each frame using some 3D Foam Adhesive Squares.

Lastly, I added my sentiment which I had heat embossed separately onto some Black Licorice Card Stock.

I hope you enjoyed my card today! Make sure to stop by the MFT Blog for more sneak peeks and inspiration! Leave a comment there for a chance to win a $75 MFT Gift Voucher!
