Hello friends! It’s time for a brand new Sketch Challenge from My Favorite Things! For my take on the sketch, I used the gorgeous Mermazing Stamp Set illustrated by Birdie Brown. I flipped my sketch layout but followed the sketch design.

Here’s a look at this week’s sketch! The possibilities are endless and it’s always fun to challenge yourself and stretch your creativity and see what you can come up with!

To start my card today, I first stamped my images with black ink onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I then colored my images with Copic markers and cut them out using their coordinating dies.

I then blended my ocean background with Distress Inks (Cracked Pistachio, Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet, Peacock Feathers, and Chipped Sapphire) onto a sheet of 4.25″ x 5.5″ Smooth White Card Stock. I then took a #4 paintbrush and splattered this blending with water. I blotted it dry with a paper towel after letting it sit for about 30 seconds.

Once dry, I then heat embossed my sentiment, some fish, and sea plants with Fine Detail White Embossing Powder. For my circular windows, I used the Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics to diecut them into a strip of 5.5″ x 1.75″ white card stock. Lastly, I added my images with 3D Foam Adhesive Squares for some added dimension.

Come play along for a chance to win a $50 MFT Gift Voucher! Winner is chosen at random. Make sure to stop by the MFT Blog for more sketch inspiration!
