Hello crafty friends! I pray that you are all staying safe and healthy! If you, like so many others, are stuck at home for a while, I have a fun new sketch challenge from My Favorite Things to help you pass the time!

Here’s a look at MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #481. You don’t have to use the exact shapes but rather what each shape inspires you to use.

I created a fun, whimsical card for my take on the sketch. I first trimmed a piece of Smooth White Card Stock to 4.25″ x 5.5″ and then blended it with some Wilted Violet and Milled Lavender Distress Oxide Inks. I then splattered this piece with water and set it aside to dry. Next, I trimmed some evenly cut strips of Smooth White Card Stock to create my rainbow and blended each strip with Distress Oxide Ink. (Colors used in order: Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, Mowed Lawn, Salty Ocean, and Wilted Violet). After I let them dry, I then sprayed each piece with some Sheer Shimmer Spritz for some added sparkle.

Next, I stamped my unicorn image from the Fairy-Tale Friends Stamp Set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I colored it with Copic markers and used the coordinating die-namics to cut it out. I heat embossed my sentiment and a few stars with Fine Detail White Embossing Powder. Lastly, I added my rainbow strips with liquid adhesive and trimmed the overlapping edges with a paper cutter and adhered my unicorn with some 3D Foam Adhesive Squares.

Come play along for a chance to win a $50 MFT Gift Voucher! (Winner is chosen at random. The more entries you submit, the greater your chance of winning!) Make sure to stop by the MFT Blog for more challenge inspiration and a link for your entries!
