MFT Stamps | May Release MFT & Friends

May 5, 2020

Hello friends! It’s finally time to shop the amazing May Release from My Favorite Things! I have one last project to share with you today! I used the new Always Bring a Smile Stamp Set illustrated by Stacey Yacula for my single layer slimline card today.

To start, I trimmed a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Cart Stock to 8.5″ x 3.5″. I used some Gina K. Designs Magic Masking Paper to utilize the masking technique (as shown above). I first stamped some of my images in the foreground and then covered them with masking paper to next stamp some images on top of them to look as if they’re in the background.

I then used Copic Markers to color all of my images as well as the background scenery, sky, and grass.

Once finished, I let it dry and then stamped my sentiment with Black Ink onto the top left corner of my card. Next, I trimmed my card down to 8.25″ x 3.25″ and added a 8.5″ x 3.5″ white cardstock mat behind my card to give my project some slight contrast with a frame.

Make sure to head to the MFT Blog for more release inspiration from the rest of the team as well as our amazing guests for this month’s MFT & Friends feature. Leave a comment on each Design Team Member’s MFT & Friends Release Post for a chance to win 1 of 2 $100 MFT Gift Vouchers!
