Hello friends! It’s time for the next Birthday Project Challenge from MFT Stamps! This month’s challenge is all about creating personalized birthday cards using either alphabet stamps or dies.

For my take on the sketch, I combined the Birdie Brown Space Explorer Stamp set with the Pumped-Up Alphabet Die-namics. To start, I first stamped my astronaut onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and colored him with Copic Markers. I tried to keep my colors simple and combined some teals and grays for a more monochromatic tone.

Copic Colors Used:
- Skin: E0000, E000, E11, E04
- Teals: BG0000, BG10, BG11, BG13, BG49
- Whites/Grays: 0, C00, C0, C2, C4, C5

For my background, I used the amazing new Rectangle Extraordinaire Stencil and blended some Distress Oxide Inks (Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers, and Chipped Sapphire). I then splattered this blending with both water and some diluted Opaque White Paint to resemble stars. Next, I heat embossed my sentiment with Fine Detail White Embossing Powder. Lastly, I added my images with 3D Foam Adhesive Tape for added dimension.

Come play along for a chance to win a $50 MFT Gift Voucher! The winner is chosen at random. Head to the MFT Blog for the challenge link as well as some more challenge inspiration!
