Hello friends! It’s time for the latest Sketch Challenge from My Favorite Things! For my take on the sketch, I used the recently re-released Every Day Is a Picnic, illustrated by Birdie Brown.

To start my card, I first stamped all of my images onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with Copic friendly black Ink. I then colored them with Copic Markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out.
Copic Colors Used:
- Skin: E0000, E000, E11, E04
- Blues: B000, B01, B04, B06
- Whites: 0, C00, C0, C2, C4
- Hair: E50, E53, E55
- Yellows: Y11, Y13, Y15, V12

Next, I went to work on my card background. I first blended a grassy hill onto the bottom portion of my card with Mowed Lawn Distress Ink using the Grassy Edges Stencil. I then splattered this area with both diluted white and green paints being careful to mask an area for my sentiment.

Once the grass was dry, I then blended the top portion with Mermaid Lagoon and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Inks. Next, I stamped my sentiment and then added my images with some 3D Foam Adhesive Tape to allow them to slightly pop off the card base.

Here is a look at this week’s sketch! Come play along for a chance to win a $50 MFT Gift Voucher! The winner is chosen at random. Make sure to stop by the MFT Blog for more sketch inspiration and a link to the challenge.
