Hello friends! There are only 24 hours left until the newest release from My Favorite Things becomes available! Do you have a favorite item so far? My card today features something really cool and something that I’ve never seen before until now. The Perfect Pool Water Stencil does just that…it allows you to create amazing, rippling pool water in a cinch.

I paired this stencil today with the cute little Pure Innocence image from the Hey, Sunshine Stamp Set. I wanted my card to look like a swimming pool, so I used the A2 Stitched Rectangle Die-namics for my base. To create my pool water, I used the stencil and blended some blue Distress Oxide Inks (Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, and Chipped Sapphire) onto a piece of white card stock. You can check out this video HERE by Laura Dovalo on how to use this fun new product.

I stamped my images with Black Ink onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock, colored them with Copic Markers, and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. For my girl’s swim suit and raft, I used patterned papers from the Fun in the Sun and Summertime Polka Dots Paper Pads. Lastly, I heat embossed my sentiment onto the lower left portion of my card using Super Fine Detail White Embossing Powder.

How you manage to make the pool water resemble blue cellophane is a masterstroke, Rachel. It is simply amazing! Besides, I needed a card with that particular sentiment right now. In admiration of your work, Adam.
