Hello friends! It’s time for a new Color Challenge from My Favorite Things! The colors for this week’s challenge are Milk Chocolate, Tickled Pink, Coral Crush, and Summer Splash. You don’t have to use these exact colors but rather the colors that this palette inspires you to use!

For my take on the challenge, I stamped some cute little pigs from the Birdie Brown Hog Heaven Stamp Set and colored them with Copic Markers. I cut them out using the coordinating dies and set them aside to work on my background. Since turquoise is one of my favorite colors, I wanted to emphasize it on my color scheme. I blended some Summer Splash and Sno Cone Premium Dye Ink onto a sheet of Smooth White Card Stock and then lightly splattered it with water to give it some texture. Once dry, I then cut this piece with one of the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics Set 2.

Next, I covered the bottom portion of this piece with a piece of scrap paper and then splattered the top portion with diluted teal watercolor paint as well as some diluted Opaque White Paint. Once again, I let it dry and then stamped my sentiment onto the bottom center of this piece once ready. Next, I layered this piece with both some white and Summer Splash Card Stock and adhered all of it to a top folding A2 sized card base.

Lastly, I adhered my images to the front of my card with some 3D Foam Adhesive Tape for added dimension.

Oh this is just adorable, Rachel. Love your turquoise background. You have a way with color for sure and also with splatters. Your little piggies are so cute, too. I really like how you framed the focal piece. All around fabulous card. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
