Happy Wednesday, crafty friends! It’s time for a brand new sketch challenge from My Favorite Things!

Here’s a look at this week’s sketch layout. You don’t have to follow the sketch challenge exactly but rather create something that the sketch inspires you to create. In celebration of their 500th sketch challenge, MFT Stamps is going to give away a $100 MFT Gift Voucher to two random participants!

To start my card, I first stamped my images from the Birdie Brown Sunflower Sweetheart Stamp Set onto a sheet of Neenah White 110lb Card Stock. I then colored my images with Copic Markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out.
Copic Color Combos Used:
- Skin: E0000, E000, E21, E04
- Yellows: Y11, Y13, Y15, BV02
- Greens: YG01, YG61, YG63, YG67
- Purples: V20, V22, V25, V09
- Blues: B0000, B02, B04

For my background, I trimmed a piece of Smooth White Card Stock to 4.25″ x 5.5″ and blended it with some Distress Oxide Inks (Squeezed Lemonade, Ripe Persimmon, Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry, and Wilted Violet). I splattered this piece with water using a #4 paint brush and then blotted it dry with a paper towel. I then splattered it again with diluted Opaque White Paint and brown watercolor paint for added texture. Once dry, I then trimmed this piece to 5″ x 3.75″ and adhered it to an A2 sized vertical white card base.

Next, I added a stitched white frame using the Stitched Rectangle Frames Die-namics. I then heat embossed my sentiment with Fine Detail White Embossing Powder onto a strip of Black Licorice Card Stock. I used one of the Stitched Fishtail Sentiment Strips Die-namics to cut it out and attached it to my card with adhesive. Lastly, I added my images with 3D Foam Adhesive Tape to give them some extra dimension.
