Hello friends! The Better Together Card Kit is now available online in the MFT Boutique!
I have two more projects to share with you today that feature the beautiful items from this kit!
For my first example, I created a snowy-themed circular shaped card using the A2 Stitched Circle Die-namics. I first diecut my car from a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Cad Stock and colored it with some red Copic Markers (R14, R27, R46, R59). I then added some blue accents that I had also colored with Copic Markers (B00, B01, B04). I also colored my images with Copic Markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out.
For my background, I blended some Mermaid Lagoon and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Inks. I started with the darkest color toward the bottom and blended toward the top of my card with the lighter color, leaving a white space toward the top of my sky. Next, I added some patterned paper from the new Road Trippin’ Paper Pad for the last layer of my card. In order to make my road look like the car is coming toward us, I trimmed off the top section of my road and added some snow drifts on the side using the Stitched Snow Drifts Die-namics. Lastly, I splattered my card with diluted Opaque White Paint to make it look like it was snowing.
For my second project, I created a slimline card using both the kit and the newly released Slimline Starter Die-namics. I diecut the road twice and then lined it up on a slimline base before diecutting them again with the rectangular die of the Slimline Starter Die-namics to give them a perfect fit.
For my background, I simply diecut my base piece with the Slimline Dies and then blended it with some Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Ink. I heat embossed my sentiment with Fine Detail White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Steel Gray Card Stock and trimmed it with a paper trimmer to fit the base of my card.
