Hello friends! It’s time for a brand new Sketch Challenge from My Favorite Things! Come play along for a chance to win a $50 MFT Gift Voucher! (Winner is chosen at random.)

Here is a look at this week’s sketch layout. You don’t have to follow the layout exactly but can swap the shapes for images, flip, and/or rotate the sketch.

For my take on the sketch, I used some images from the PI Birthday Girl Stamp Set. I used Copic friendly black ink to stamp my images onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock, colored with Copic Markers, and used the coordinating dies to cut them out.
Copic Color Combos Used:
- Purples: BV000, BV01, BV02, BV04
- Pinks: RV00, RV52, RV55, RV66
- Hair/Shoes: E41, E43, E44
- Skin: E0000, E000, E21, E04

For my background, I used a piece of patterned paper from the Summertime Polka Dots Paper Pad. I lined my strips of white card stock (that I had trimmed with a paper cutter) with pieces of Wild Wisteria Card Stock. For some added interest, I also added a quick blending of Grapesicle Premium Dye Ink behind my image. I splattered this blend with both water as well as diluted white and purple paints.

She is darling! I am so impressed with your coloring, especially with purples. So very pretty. Thanks for sharing, Rachel. It would be fun to someday watch you color and see your images come to life. 🙂
I’m still in love with PI designs after all these years. Your coloring brings this little girl to life!
