Hello friends! For Day 4 of the MFT Release Countdown, I have a fun little 3D box card to share with you that features both the new Partners in Adventure Stamp Set along with the new Outside the Box Waves Die-namics.

To start, I first stamped all of my images with black ink onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I’ve mentioned it before but Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock is my go-to card stock for Copic coloring. I love the depth of coloring that you can achieve with this card stock without the colors bleeding.

Copic Color Combos Used:
- Browns: E40, E41, E42, E44
- Black: W5, W7, W9
- Reds: R14, R46, R89
- Yellows: Y11, Y13, V12
- Teals: G000, BG11, BG13, BG49
- Orange: YR02, YR04, YR18

I used the Outside the Box Waves Die-namics to create waves cut from Smooth White Card Stock. I blended the waves with both Peacock Feathers and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide Ink and spattered each one lightly with water before blotting it dry with a clean paper towel. For my background, I blended it with Tumbled Glass, Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Inks. Lastly, I stamped my sentiment onto a strip of white card stock and adhered it to the front of my card.

Thank you, sweet April!
Love your coloring. I will have to try making a box card.
Thank you, Sue! You really should! It’s so much fun!
Love your box card Rachel! So cute! The colo blending is awesome,!
I like the splatters you made with the oxide ink. I always feel that water makes my paper bumpy. I will get a paper towel handy and try it again! Thanks for the inspiration.
The penguins look like they just popped up out of the water… great coloring! Love me some box cards!!!
Love you use of the box die and your coloring is perfect
Oh goodness, this is wonderful, Rachel. Such a fun design for the box card. All the critters look like they planned their celebration out. Your coloring is amazing! Thank you so much for sharing!
Adorable!!! Love that saying!!!!
Thank you! So do I! 🙂
Your card is so cute, and as always your coloring is fabulous! I so appreciate your sharing your Copic colors!
Thanks so much, Melanie! <3
Hi Rachel, I love all of the box cards you have been making. Can you please tell me if you alter the template? It looks like the box part may be shorter than the die. Thank you for sharing all of your wonderful ideas. I really enjoy seeing them.
Hi Angie! Thank you for your sweet comments! Yes, it’s definitely shorter! You can cut the bottom template in half and get a similar result, but the layering pieces won’t match so I make my own.
Another super cute card!
Thank you so much, Maureen! 🙂
