Hello everyone! We are halfway through the countdown for the amazing October release from My Favorite Things! My card today features the latest set illustrated by Stacey Yacula called “Flurry of Love”.

I created a single-layered card using the adorable images from this set. First, I cut a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock to 4.25″ x 5.5″ and then stamped my images with black ink using some Gina K. Designs Magic Masking Sheets. I then blended my background with some Broken China and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Inks. I splattered this area with both diluted white and blue paint and then removed my masks so that I could color my images.

When using this technique, I always color my images last so that if I make a mistake while ink blending, I can always start over again without too much effort. Plus, the masking paper sticks better when the image below it is not colored. Once my background was completely dry, I then used Copic Markers to color my scene.

Copic Color Combos Used:
- Whites: C00, C0, C2, 0
- Snow Drifts and Windows: B000, B01
- Reds: R14, R29, R89
- Browns: E40, E41, E42, E43, E44
- Roof: C0, C2, C4
