Hello friends! The amazing October Release from MFT Stamps is now available! Do you have a favorite product that you can’t wait to get your hands on? I have one more project to share with you today featuring the adorable Holiday Penguins Stamp Set illustrated by Birdie Brown.
I created a single-layer slimline card that I colored with Copic Markers. To start, I first trimmed a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock to 3.5″ x 8.5″ and stamped all of my images with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Next, I covered each of my images with some Gina K Designs Magic Masking Paper that I had stamped and fussy cut to match each image. I then used the Stitched Slimline Snowdrifts Die-namics to cut a mask for the bottom of my card. I love how the stitching showed through on my card after I ink blended my background!
For my background, I blended a mix of Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio, and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Inks. I then splattered this blending lightly with water and let it sit for about 30 seconds before blotting it dry with a paper towel. I then splattered it with diluted white and green paint for added interest. Once I was finished with my background, I removed my masking pieces and set the entire piece aside to dry before coloring it.
