Hello friends! For this month’s MFT Hits & Highlights feature, it’s all about creating cards using one of the Extraordinaire Stencils. MFT Stamps has a great selection of these stencils that have both the stencil and the mask.

For my card today, I combined the Rectangle Extraordinaire Stencil with a cute elf from the BB Santa’s Elves Stamp Set. To start, I first stamped my elf onto the front of a 4.25″ x 5.5″ piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I then used a Gina K Designs Masking Magic Sheet to mask his image. Next, I placed the Rectangle Extraordinaire over top of this image and then blended some Tattered Rose and Barn Door Distress Oxide Inks as well of some Fired Brick and Black Soot Distress Inks.

I splattered this blending with diluted opaque white paint for added interest and then removed both the stencil and the mask. I then let the panel dry completely before coloring my image with Copic Markers.

Copic Color Blends Used:
- Reds: R14, R29, R89
- Greens: YG01, YG06, YG17, YG67
- Yellows: Y11, Y13, Y15, V12
- Black: W5, W7
- Skin: E0000, E000, E21, E13

What a fantastic card. I adore that background. It’s gorgeous. And it sure helps the greens in the cutie patootie elf stand out. Your way with color is just fantastic, Rachel. Wow! Thanks so much for sharing.
