Hello crafty friends! Today starts a brand new sketch challenge from My Favorite Things! Come play along for a chance to win a $50 MFT Gift Voucher! (Winner is chosen at random.)

Here’s a look at this week’s sketch! You don’t have to follow the sketch exactly but can flip and/or rotate it and swap out the shapes for images if you like. The main goal is to unleash your creativity and have fun!

I used the new PI You Sleigh Me Stamp Set for my take on this week’s sketch. I first stamped my image in black ink onto a sheet of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110lb Card Stock and then used Copic Markers to color it. I then used the coordinating dies to cut it out.

Copic Color Combos Used:

• Skin: E000, E21, E04
• Teals: G000, BG11, BG13, BG49
• Violets: BV00, BV02, BV04
• Black: W5, W7
• Light Gray: W00, W0, W2
• Orange Beak: YR07, YR18

Next, I set my image aside and trimmed a piece of Smooth White Card Stock to do some ink blending. I blended this piece with Peacock Feathers and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Inks prior to splattering it with diluted white and blue paints. I started with my darker color at the bottom of my cardstock and blended toward the top with my lighter color. I then layered this piece multiple times with both white and Tropical Teal Prestige Card Stock.

I then trimmed a piece of white card stock to 1.75″ x 4.25″ and diecut the end of it using the bottom portion of one of the Fold-Up Tags Die-namics. I then added a strip of tropical teal cardstock for my banner using the Stitched Fishtail Sentiment Strips Die-namics.
