MFT Stamps | December Release Countdown – Halfway There!

December 5, 2020

Hello friends! We’re halfway through the MFT December Release Countdown! I have a fun slimline card to share with you today that features the new Sweet Safari Stamp Set combined with the new Critter Caravan Die-namics.

I started by cutting a piece of smooth white card stock to 3.75″ x 8.75″ and blending the top portion with some Picked Raspberry, Tattered Rose, and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Inks. I used a #4 round paintbrush and splattered this area with diluted Opaque White Paint as well as some diluted dark pink watercolor paint for added interest.

I stamped all of my images onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock, colored them with Copic Sketch Markers, and used the coordinating die-namics to cut them out.

Make sure to head on over to the MFT Blog for more sneak peeks and release inspiration! Leave a comment there for a chance to win a $75 MFT Gift Voucher!

Thank you so much for dropping by! If you liked this card and want some more crafty inspiration, please feel free to check out my INSTAGRAM feed!

This is adorable! I love that caravan vehicle and the critter that looks like he’s jumping up in excitement. This set is so cute! My daughter would LOVE the giraffe! You did a fabulous job coloring and ink blending that beautiful sky. Always impressed with your cards, Rachel. 🙂

Hi, Rachel – This is a perfect card for “no occasion.” I send a lot of cards of this sort to people (mostly elderly) in my church just to say “hi” and give them something that is not a bill or junk mail, plus let them know that someone is thinking of them. I love your design. I tend to make more cards in the winter and the summer (I’m a teacher, so I have more time in the summers).
Holiday blessings to you and yours.

I just love the nontraditional sky color! It really makes your card pop!
