Hello friends! There are only 24 hours left until the December Release from MFT Stamps becomes available! My card today features the latest adorable Pure Innocence Stamp Sets called Missing You.

I totally can relate to this stamp set right now. There are so many friends and family members that I sadly have not been able to see due to everything that is going on in the world right now. This set says it perfectly.

To start, I first trimmed a piece of Smooth White Card Stock to 4.25″ x 5.5″. I used my MISTI to stamp my image toward the center of my card. I then masked this image by stamping it again onto a piece of Gina K Designs Masking Magic Sheets and then fussy cutting it so that I could place this mask perfectly over top of the one that I had stamped onto my card base. I then heat embossed the English Brick Wall Background Stamp over top of my entire panel with Fine Detail Clear Embossing Powder.

I kept the masking piece in place and allowed my embossing powder to completely cool before lightly blending some Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink over top of it. Once I achieved the level of blending that I was looking for, I then removed my masking piece and colored my image. I went with some shades of blue and gray to set the mood of the card.
Copic Color Combos Used
- Skin: E0000, E000, E21, E04
- Hair: E50, E53, E55
- Shirt: BG10, BG53, BG72, BG78
- Pot: YR00, YR04, YR09, YR18, E09
- Plant: YG23, G28
- Window Frame: W1, W3

I decided to try to some paper piecing for my curtains. I stamped my image again onto a blue piece of patterned paper from the Summertime Polka Dots Paper Pad. I used some warm gray Copic Markers (W0, W2) to add some shading and then I fussy cut out each piece (like a puzzle) as see above. I used liquid adhesive to put each piece into place. Yes, it was a little more work, but it was totally worth the effort! I love the subtle pattern and texture that the paper gives.

Lastly, I diecut my panel with the largest die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle Die-namics Set 1 and layered it with some light blue card stock. I used this same cardstock to diecut a strip for my sentiment using the Essential Stitched Sentiment Strips.

Thank you for showing how you created the curtains. Your purple brick reminds me of a house that is just down the street from my first adult residence. It was completely purple, and sits right on the corner of a US highway. It’s kind of a landmark. 🙂 Beautiful card!
Love the soft colors of your card and the way you colored in the little girl, Rachel! Perfect!
