Hello friends! Welcome to the second day of the Pretty Pink Posh birthday celebration blog hop! If you are hopping along, you should have just arrived from the Pretty Pink Posh Blog.
I have two cards to share with you today that feature some of the amazing new products in their new release! (* Affiliated links used where applicable at no extra cost to you. *)
For my first card, I created a fun birthday card combining the brand new Let’s Party Stamp Set along with the previously released Birthday Friends Stamp Set. To start, I first trimmed a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock to slightly larger than 4.25″ x 5.5″. I then stamped some cute images from the Birthday Friends Stamp Set at the bottom corners of my card and then used some masking paper cover these images so that I could ink blend my background. With my masking pieces still on top of my images, I then blended my background with Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry, Spun Sugar, and Milled Lavender Distress Oxide Inks.
I then trimmed this piece down to 4.25″ x 5.5″ to remove any harsh inked edges and splattered this piece with both diluted white and purple paints for added interest. Next, I removed my masking pieces and set my card aside to dry completely before coloring my images. While this dried, I then stamped my birthday circle from the Let’s Party Stamp Set onto another piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and colored it with Copic Markers.
Once my back panel was dry, I then used the Let’s Party Die Set to cut a circle into the middle section of my card and added a white stitched scallop frame using the Scallop Circle Dies.
Copic Color Blends Used:
- Pinks: RV00, RV63, RV55, RV66
- Blues: BG000, BG01, BG05
- Violets: BV000, BV01, BV11, BV13
- Indigo: B60, B63, B66, B69
- Cake: Y21, Y23, E34
- Icing: 0, W0, W2
- Skin: E0000, E000, E11, E04
My second card features the new and adorable Valentine Circle Stamp Set. I once again stamped my images onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock (my favorite for Copic coloring) and then colored them with Copics. I used the Valentine Circles Dies to cut them out as well as to cut out some scalloped circle borders from red card stock.
My card measures at 3.5″ x 8.5″ with a few added layers. My innermost layer is blended with both Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Inks. I added some spattering with diluted white paint as well as diluted red watercolor paint.
I stamped my sentiment from the All My Love Stamp Set and then lastly added my images with 3D Foam Adhesive Tape for added dimension.
Copic Color Combos Used:
- Top Monkey: E51, E53, E55, E57
- Middle Monkey: E31, E23, E25, E29
- Bottom Monkey: E40, E41, E42, E43
- Reds: R14, R46, R89
- Whites/Grays: 0, C0, C2, C4
