Hello friends! We’re starting off the countdown for the MFT February Release with a new adorable set from Birdie Brown along with a super fun A2 sized shadow box die! This shadow box die coordinates perfectly with all of the Outside the Box inserts and folds easily to fit into an A2 sized envelope for mailing. I combined both new products to create my card today.

To start, I first stamped the images from the Mice Day to Celebrate Stamp Set onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I then colored them with Copic Markers and used the coordinating die-namics to cut them out.
Copic Color Blends Used:
- Warm Gray Mice: W00, W0, W2, W4
- Cool Gray Mice: C00, C0, C2, C4
- Yellows: Y11, Y13, Y15, V12
- Reds: R14, R46, R89
- Browns: E41, E42, E43, E44
- Teals: G000, BG11, BG13, BG49
- Purples: V000, V01, V15, V17
- Cupcake Frosting: W0, W2

Next, I quickly assembled my box card using a piece of Summer Splash Card Stock. I blended some Grapesicle and Grape Jelly Premium Dye Inks for my background and added some grassy hills using the Outside the Box Grassy Hills Die-namics. I cut my grassy hills out of more Neenah Solar White 110lb card stock and blended them with Mowed Lawn and Shabby Shutters Distress Oxide Inks. Next, I splattered them with diluted opaque white and green paints for some added interest. Lastly, I heat embossed my sentiment onto a strip of Black Licorice Card Stock, cut it out with one of the Skinny Strip Die-namics, and adhered it to the front of my box with some liquid adhesive.

This is absolutely adorable, Rachel! Those Birdie Brown mice are just the cutest, and pretty sure I’m going to “need” that box die. Ha
these little mice just make me smile. They have that expression that says “Watch out, we “might” be up to something!”

Hi, Rachel –
Your work always blows me away. I am sure you will use all those other colored-in mice for another gorgeous card. I love the composition of the grassy hills of different shades of green and the reactive purple ink-blended background. Green and purple were the colors of my wedding, so anything that features those two colors is aces with me.
Love your work!
