Hello friends! It’s time for a brand new Sketch Challenge from MFT Stamps! Come play along for a chance to win a $50 MFT Gift Voucher! One lucky winner will be chosen at random.
Here’s a look at this week’s sketch. You don’t have to follow the sketch exactly, but you can flip, rotate, or substitute the shapes for images. The goal is to have fun and be creative!
For my take on this week’s sketch, I used one of the sweet little elephants from the Birdie Brown Adorable Elephants Stamp Set. I stamped my images onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with black ink, colored them with Copic Markers, and used the coordinating die-namics to cut them out.
For my card base, I trimmed a piece of Smooth White Card Stock to 6.25″ x 3.5″ and layered it with a 6″ x 3.25″ piece of blue patterned paper from the Woodgrain Whimsy Paper Pad. I then diecut a circle from white card stock using the Inside & Out Stitched Circle STAX and layered it with another circle that I blended lightly with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink. I added some grass to the bottom of the circle that I had blended with Shabby Shutters Distress Oxide Ink. I used the Grassy Fields Die-namics to cut the grass and then diecut it again with the circle die-namics so that it would layer perfectly.
Lastly, I added my images and sentiment with 3D Foam Adhesive Tape for added dimension.
