Hello friends! Are you loving the new release so far? We are halfway to the big day and still have so much to share!

I have a single layer card to share with you today that features the new “Rainy Day Friends” Stamp Set illustrated by Rachelle Anne Miller. To start, I first trimmed a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock to 4.25″ x 5.5″ and used a masking technique to provide depth to my images. For masking my images, I used a piece of Gina K. Designs Masking Magic Sheets.

With my masking pieces still on, I then used the Rectangle Extraordinaire Stencil along with some Distress Inks (Stormy Sky, Milled Lavender, Weathered Wood, and Chipped Sapphire) to create my background. I then used a clean size 4 round paintbrush to splatter some water onto my ink blending to give the illusion of rain.

I then removed my masking sheets and diecut my panel using the Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics. Next, I colored my images using Copic Markers and then heat embossed my sentiment using Fine Detail White Embossing Powder. Lastly, I adhered this piece to a vertical, top folding, A2 sized card base.
Copic Color Used:
- Warm Grays: W0, W2, W4, W6
- Hair: E50, E53, E55
- White: 0, C0, C2, C4
- Reds: R14, R46, R89
- Puddle: B000, B01, B91, B93

Thank you, Renae!
Wow!! What a beautiful background. I love how it highlights the sweet girl and her pup. Your coloring is fantastic. Wonderful single layer card! You must have lots of masking scraps around! 🙂
Lol, I do! I’ve been on a masking kick lately. Not sure why, but I find fussy cutting very relaxing. 😋
I’ve never been to Paris but they say it is beautiful in the Spring. She looks right at home in the rain with her pretty umbrella! Lovely coloring Rachel. So much to love in this release.
Thank you kindly, sweet Anne! 🥰
Rachel – You have done the French proud. Your tableau is a tribute to the tricolor (the French name for the French flag)… bleu, blanc, rouge (blue, white, red). Your blue is a beautiful, deep, vibrant color and the red is a rich, bluey red (not an orangey-red). Wow!! Gorgeous one-layer card — and the choice of white powder for embossing is just perfect w/ the blue and the red!
