Hello friends! It’s time for a brand new Sketch Challenge from My Favorite Things! I love the challenges because they help you to stretch your creativity and create card layouts that you may have never thought of on your own! You don’t have to follow the sketch exactly but rather can flip/rotate and/or substitute the shapes for images.

Here is a look at the sketch layout. For my take on the sketch, I substituted the shapes for images and created a single layer card using images from the BB Mermazing Stamp Set.

I stamped almost all of my images with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used masking paper (Gina K Designs Masking Magic Sheets) to mask my images prior to ink blending my background. I used a blend of Chipped Sapphire, Peacock Feathers, and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Inks for my ocean background and then splattered this blending with some water to add more texture. I allowed the water droplets to sit for about 30 seconds before blotting them dry with a clean paper towel.

I used Copic Markers to color all of my images once my background was completely dry.

Thank you, Jeanne! Thank you (as always!) for taking the time to stop by! I always appreciate your sweet words! 💖
What a sweet mermaid. Your water looks good enough to jump right in with her! Too cold for swimming in Michigan.
Oh yes, Michigan is way too cold for swimming right now lol. 😁🥶 Thank you for taking the time to leave your sweet comments, my friend! ❤️
