Hello friends! Come play along with MFT Color Challenge 162 for a chance to win a $50 MFT Gift Voucher! One lucky winner will be chosen at random!

For my take on the challenge, I created a card featuring the BB Sunflower Sweetheart Stamp Set. I first stamped my image into the center of a 4.25″ x 5.5″ piece of Neenah Solar White 100lb Card Stock. I then stamped my image again onto a sheet of Gina K Designs Masking Magic Sheets and fussy cut this mask to place on top of my original image. I then used the Oval Extraordinaire Stencil and placed it over my image so that my image was centered inside of the oval. Next, I blended this area with both Worn Lipstick and Fired Brick Distress Oxide Inks. For added interest, I splattered this area with both diluted opaque white paint as well as some watered down red watercolor paint.

I then removed both the stencil and the masking piece and allowed my ink blended area to dry before coloring my image with Copic Markers (colors used are listed below). Once I had finished coloring, I then diecut my entire image out using one of the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics Set 1. I stamped my sentiment with black ink before using some 3D Foam Adhesive pieces to place my panel onto an A2 sized card base that I had cut from patterned paper. I also used the same paper pad to stamp and cut a patterned dress for my image.

Oh wow, Rachel. this looks fantastic. What a beautiful, spring like card. The background is wonderful with the colors and the splatters. It almost glows and highlights your sweet girl perfectly. The paper piecing on the dress looks fantastic. Your coloring is always spot on. Thanks so much for sharing this sweet card! 🙂
Thank you kindly, dear Jeanne!
She is a cutie…. I always sang that song to my daughter when she was little! Can’t believe she turned 47 this year!!!
Awww, that’s so sweet, Anne! It’s crazy how fast time flies. I vividly remember the day my oldest was born like it was yesterday and he just turned 10 a few weeks ago. I wish I could freeze time sometimes. 🙂
Rachel,
Absolutely love this! What an incredible background, love the gingham, the colors, the design, everything!
Thank you for your sweet comments, my dear friend! Sending hugs!
