Hello everyone! Welcome to another weekly sketch challenge from My Favorite Things! I encourage you to challenge yourself and come play along! One lucky winner will be chosen at random to win a $50 MFT Gift Voucher!

Here’s a look at this week’s sketch layout. You can flip/rotate or even substitute the shapes for images in your take(s) on the sketch. The idea is to have fun, stretch your imagination, and to be creative!

For my take on this week’s sketch, I tried to stay as close to the sketch layout as possible. I used the sweet owls from the “You and Me Together” Stamp Set illustrated by Rachelle Anne Miller. I stamped my images onto a piece of Neenah Solar White Card Stock and colored them with Copic Markers.
Copic Colors Used:
- Pinks: RV00, R81, R83, R85
- Teal/Greens: G000, G00, G02, BG13, BG49
- Leafy Greens: YG01, YG06, YG17, YG67
- Browns: E31, E23, E25, E29

I used the Wonky Stitched Rectangles to trim a piece of white card stock and adhered it to my A2 horizontal white base with some adhesive tape. I then used my paper trimmer to trim a piece of Milk Chocolate Prestige Card Stock to 1.5″ x 5.5″ so that I could adhere it across the width of my card. Prior to adhering it, I heat embossed my sentiment from the “Wish You Were Hare” Stamp Set.

I also trimmed some Sour Apple and Woodgrain Patterned card stock to 3″ x 2″ and placed them according to the sketch layout. Lastly, I added my image with some 3D Foam Adhesive Tape for added dimension.

Thank you for your sweet comments, Anne! Sending hugs!
Super sweet! I love how you colored the owls – I always hesitate to color anything other than the way they would be in nature but it just adds so much more cuteness to the images to have them be fun colors! Thank you so much for sharing and inspiring!
Thank you so much for your sweet comments, Ruth! 💕
