Hello friends! We’re halfway through the MFT April Release Countdown and we still have so much more to share with you! I have a fun but simple card to share with you today that features the new “Firefly Friends” Stamp Set illustrated by Rachelle Anne Miller.

I first trimmed a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock to 4.25″ x 5.5″ and stamped my image in the center of my panel with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I then stamped my image again onto a piece of Gina K Designs Masking Magic Sheets and fussy cut it out to place over top of my original stamped image.

I then used another piece of masking paper and quickly drew a wavy circle design onto it with pencil. I cut out this design with scissors to create a “window” in my masking piece and placed the negative section over top my image that I had already masked. I then used a piece of 1″ wide purple tape to mask off an area for the ground. The little window allowed for me to blend my ink only inside the pattern that I had drawn. The mask over top of my image of the two children and the floor area helped to prevent any of this ink getting onto them during this process. I used Broken China, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot Distress Inks for my background. Once blended, I also splattered them with diluted opaque white paint to give the resemblance of stars.

Once I was finished blending, I then removed my masking pieces, allowed my background to dry, and then colored my images with Copic Markers. Lastly, I diecut my panel using one of the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics Set 1, stamped my sentiment, and then placed my panel onto of a 4.25″ x 5.5″ patterned paper background.

• Pinks: RV00, RV63, RV55, RV66
• Skin: E0000, E000, E21, E11, E13
• Boy’s Hair: E31, E23, E25, E29
• Girl’s Hair: E50, E53, E55, E57
• Yellows: Y00, Y13, Y15
