Hello friends! Welcome to a brand new Color Challenge from MFT Stamps! I love playing along with these challenges because it allows me the opportunity to work with fun color combinations that I may not have come up with on my own. I have to admit, some color combos come easier to me than others lol. How about you? Do you like to give the Color Challenges a go?

The colors for Challenge 164 are Poppin’ Pink, Caribbean Sea (a new favorite of mine!), Jalapeño Popper, and Vintage Timber. You don’ t have to use these exact colors but rather ones that these colors inspire you to use!

For my take on the challenge, I used images from both the SY Hooray Kind of Day and Scene Builder Stamp Sets. I used the Scene Builder Set to create my background trees, hills, clouds, and also the grass around the flowers. I stamped my background onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored everything with Copic Markers.

I then stamped my bear onto another piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock, colored him with Copic Markers, and used the coordinating die-namics to cut him out. I heat embossed a fun sentiment with Fine Detail White Embossing Powder onto his flag and then adhered him to the front of my card with 3D Foam Adhesive Tape for added dimension.

Copic Colors Used:
- Bear: E40, E42, E44, E47
- Grass: G40, G43, G46
- Bushes and Trees: G82, G85, G99
- Banner: BG0000, BG01, BG05
- Flowers: RV17, RV69

Such a great scene! The coloring is amazing as always!
Thank you for your sweet words, Heidi! Sending hugs! 🤗
So very cute, Rachel. I admit, I’ve never really tried using colors posted in a challenge (or I don’t remember doing so), but it’s something to think about, now that you bring it up. I do think I struggle a bit to come up with color combinations. Your card here looks amazing! Your coloring always looks fantastic and your scene here is just delightful. Thanks for sharing and encouraging your readers in the sweet way you do! Have a great weekend. 🙂
Thank you so much, Jeanne! You should definitely try one if you get the chance! 💕
