Hello friends! There are only two days left until the May Release becomes available! My card today features some beautiful butterflies from the “Spread Your Wings” Stamp Set.

To start, I first stamped my butterflies onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock (my go-to paper for Copic coloring) with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored my images with Copic Markers and used the coordinating die-namics to cut them out.

Copic Colors Used:
- Reds: R05 R35, R39
- Oranges: YR02, YR07
- Yellows: Y13, Y15
- Greens: YG01, YG07, YG17
- Blues: B000, B01
- Violets: V01, V15, V17

For my card background, I masked off an area with purple masking tape to to create a strip of ink blending. I blended this area with the new Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink and then splattered this area with both diluted opaque white paint as well as some diluted Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink. Next, I stamped my sentiment with black ink and then lastly added my images with 3D Foam Adhesive Tape for added dimension.

Thank you so much, dear Lori! I appreciate your sweet comments! 🤗
Gorgeous card and wonderful colors.
Thank you kindly, Rebekka! 💖
Love the layout…and the white space really pops the beautiful coloring of the main focus. The simple use of the three sequins and splatter of white adds so much without over doing it on the background
Thanks so much for your sweet feedback, Lorie! 🥰 I’m so happy that you like it!
Love the rainbow butterflies. They really standout on your beautiful background!
Thanks so much, Laura! Hugs! ❤️
The strip of the new Salvaged Patina is really, really pretty. But those beautiful rainbow butterflies are the star of this show! Wow! Wonderful work, Rachel. 🙂
Wouldn’t it be awesome if butterflies really were colored like the rainbow….. WOW. I love the size and shape of these lovelies. Beautiful blended strip. How do you like the new Salvaged Patina?? Tim Holtz is the man when it comes to color… TFS another beautiful job!
