Hello friends! Welcome to Color Challenge #165! The colors for challenge 165 are Candied Yam, Moroccan Spice, Prickly Pear, and Jalapeño Popper. You don’t have to use the exact colors shown but rather ones that these colors inspire you to use! One lucky entry will be chosen to win a $50MFT Gift Voucher!

For my take on the challenge, I combined the newly released “Let’s Work Together” Stamp Set along with the Stitched Collage Frame Die-namics. I first stamped my images with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock, colored them with Copic Markers, and used the coordinating die-namics to cut them out.

I then cut another piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb card stock with the Stitched Collage Frame Die-namics. I separated the inner rectangular pieces and blended the tops of each piece with some Jalapeño Popper Premium Dye Ink. I then splattered each blending with both diluted Opaque White Paint and diluted Jalapeño Popper Ink.

I then adhered my stitched frame piece to a 4.25″ x 5.5″ white base. Next, I added my ink blended pieces into their appropriate locations with some liquid adhesive. Once dry, I then adhered my images with 3D Foam Adhesive Tape for added dimension. Lastly, I heat embossed my sentiment onto a piece of Black Licorice Card Stock, trimmed it with a paper trimmer, and then adhered it to my card front with double-sided adhesive tape.

Thank you so much, Rebekka! 🥰
What a terrific card, Rachel. Love those ink blended backgrounds. A different color than I’m used to seeing you use, but it sure looks great. So bright and vibrant. Your critter coloring is fabulous, too. Thanks so much for sharing. 🙂
Thank you, my sweet friend! Your comments always bring a smile to my face! 💖
This stamp set is so playful and I love these critters. I am loving that jalapeno green… not so much a jalapeno lover but this shade is really pretty. Looks very festive with the green background and those pops of red on the jacket and that gorgeous red door! I love a red door, have one at my house… Great job and TFS
Thank you, dear Anne! 😍 I always thought it would be so cool to have a red door! I think they look so pretty!
