Hello crafty friends! It’s time for a brand new Outside the Box Challenge from My Favorite Things! I absolutely love this challenge since it requires making a box card. If you’ve never made one before, any of the Outside the Box Die-namics from MFT Stamps make it super easy! No measuring needed!

For my take on the challenge, I created a fun 3D birthday shadow box card using the Shadow Box Die-namics. I made my scene more festive by adding some cascading party banners along the top portion of my card. To do this, I used the fun Shadow Box Swag Die-namics. I diecut my banner pieces from a variety of teal/blue card stocks (listed below). For my images, I stamped a sweet elephant and some balloons from the sweet BB Adorable Elephants Stamp Set. I colored my images with Copic Markers and cut them out with the coordinating die-namics.

I added some grass using the Outside the Box Grassy Hills Die-namics and heat embossed my sentiment with Fine Detail White Embossing Powder prior to adhering it in the front of my card window.
Copic Colors Used:
- Balloon on Left: BG70, BG53, BG57, BG75
- Balloon in Middle: G000, BG32, BG34, BG18
- Balloon on Right: G000, BG11, BG13, BG49
- Elephant: W00, W1, W3, W5
- Pinks: RV00, R81, R85

Now it’s your turn! Come play along for a chance to win a $50 MFT Gift Voucher! One lucky winner will be chosen at random. Head on over to the MFT Blog for more challenge inspiration.
