Hello friends! I am so excited to introduce to you a brand new crafting company called Pawsome Stamps. Today is their grand opening and very first release. In honor of this exciting day, I created a one-layer slimline card featuring the adorable Happy Camper Stamp Set.
To start, I first cut a piece of white scrap paper to 3.5″ x 8.5″ and loosely stamped all of my images onto this sheet as a rough draft. I stamped over images without paying attention to layering so that I could see exactly where I wanted to place everything on my final card. Next, I used my MISTI, some Gina K. Designs Masking Magic Sheets, and a piece of 3.5″ x 5.5″ of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock to stamp my actual card layout. I started with the images that I wanted in the very front first, then masked them, and repeated the process, stamping my background images last. I would use my rough draft and MISTI to line up my images and then switch out the card stock and stamp them on my actual card for perfect placement.
I left all of my masking pieces on before blending my background with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink. I masked off the ground area prior to my ink blending with a long piece of 1.5″ wide low-tack masking tape. I then splattered my background sky with both diluted Opaque White Paint and Salty Ocean Distress Ink for added interest. Once my background was dry, I then removed my masking pieces and colored all of my images with Copic Markers.
Copic Colors Used:
- Bear: E31, E23, E25, E29
- Reds: R05, R35, R39, R89
- Yellowish Greens: YG01, YG07, YG17, YG67
- Muted Greens: G40, G43, G46
- Yellows: Y11, Y13, Y15, V12
- White Areas: 0, W00, W1, W3
