Hello crafty friends! There are only two days left until the June Release becomes available! I hope you have been enjoying the product previews so far! I have a shaker card to share with you today featuring the new “Best Catch Ever” Stamp Set. Once available this coming Tuesday, this set will be free with orders over $60.
I combined this set with the new Tri-Frame Cover-Up Die-namics to create a fun shaker card. If you look at my card background, you can also see where I used the new Wavy Lines Stencil (which I absolutely love) to create a rippled water effect.
To start, I first trimmed a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock to 4.25″ x 5.5″ and blended it with some MFT Premium Dye Inks (Sno Cone, Summer Splash, Tropical Teal, and Cornflower). I let this piece dry before placing the Wavy Lines Stencil on top of it and lightly blending over it with white pigment ink. I then trimmed this piece dow to 4″ x 5.25″, adhered it to a 4.25″ x 5.5″ base of white card stock, and set it aside. Next, I stamped all of my images onto another piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, colored them with Copic Markers, and used the coordinating die-namics to cut them out. I then stamped some of the foliage with MFT Premium Dye Ink and cut them out with the matching dies as well.
For the shaker portion of my card, I die-cut the Tri-Frame Cover-Up Die-namics 5 times and adhered 4 of them together with liquid adhesive. I then glued a piece of clear acetate on top of these layers and then adhered my last Tri-Frame piece on the very top. After stamping my sentiment onto my card base, I then attached my images onto both the base of my card and to the back of the acetate piece (depending on the depth at which I wanted them to show) and then placed some clear seed beads onto my card base. Next, I carefully adhered my framed piece on top of my base.

Thank you so much, Stevye!
This is really gorgeous. Those clear seed beads make it look like tons of bubbles! Such pretty colors and I love this Best Catch Ever set so much. Really great!
Thank you kindly, sweet friend!
I like the way you’ve divided your card into three scenes while at the same time it looks like one continuous one because as you look down the card, the look of the water gets darker & makes it look like your going deeper underwater. Well done!
Thank you for such kind comments, Teri! I appreciate you stopping by!
Cute shaker card!
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much, Lori! I appreciate all of your sweet comments!
This has been my favorite set of the new release so far! Your creations of these new sets are always my favorite! This set will go well with the older sea inspired sets of mft.💕
You are so sweet, Renee, thank you! 🥰 It’s my favorite set of the release too! I don’t know why, but I absolutely love ocean-themed and underwater-themed stamp sets. And you’re right, they go very well with all of the older sea inspired MFT sets. 👍🏻
Love the card and this new release. Can’t wait to get my hands on the beautiful mft inks and the wavy stencil. Thank you for sharing your inspiration!
Thank you so much, Chantal! The Wavy Stencil is so much fun to work with!
Wonderful card, Rachel. I really like the ombre you used from the deep sea to the surface. Your scene elements are colored beautifully. All the elements work together to create a fantastic scene. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
Thank you so much, dear friend!
