Hello crafty friends! There are only two days left until the June Release becomes available! I hope you have been enjoying the product previews so far! I have a shaker card to share with you today featuring the new “Best Catch Ever” Stamp Set. Once available this coming Tuesday, this set will be free with orders over $60.
I combined this set with the new Tri-Frame Cover-Up Die-namics to create a fun shaker card. If you look at my card background, you can also see where I used the new Wavy Lines Stencil (which I absolutely love) to create a rippled water effect.
To start, I first trimmed a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock to 4.25″ x 5.5″ and blended it with some MFT Premium Dye Inks (Sno Cone, Summer Splash, Tropical Teal, and Cornflower). I let this piece dry before placing the Wavy Lines Stencil on top of it and lightly blending over it with white pigment ink. I then trimmed this piece dow to 4″ x 5.25″, adhered it to a 4.25″ x 5.5″ base of white card stock, and set it aside. Next, I stamped all of my images onto another piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, colored them with Copic Markers, and used the coordinating die-namics to cut them out. I then stamped some of the foliage with MFT Premium Dye Ink and cut them out with the matching dies as well.
For the shaker portion of my card, I die-cut the Tri-Frame Cover-Up Die-namics 5 times and adhered 4 of them together with liquid adhesive. I then glued a piece of clear acetate on top of these layers and then adhered my last Tri-Frame piece on the very top. After stamping my sentiment onto my card base, I then attached my images onto both the base of my card and to the back of the acetate piece (depending on the depth at which I wanted them to show) and then placed some clear seed beads onto my card base. Next, I carefully adhered my framed piece on top of my base.
