Hello friends! The June Release from My Favorite Things is now available! I have one last card to share with you today featuring some of the fun, new products from this great release. I created an open window box card featuring the new “Swimming Hole Friends” Stamp Set. I created the base of my box card using the Outside the Box Die-namics along with a piece of Smooth White Card Stock. I then used one of the A2 Stitched Rectangle Die-namics Set 2 to cut a stitched window into the front portion of my card. Prior to piecing the box together, I adhered a piece of clear acetate behind that window with some liquid adhesive.

I added some beach dunes cut from Kraft Card Stock (and lightly blended with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink) using the Outside the Box Snow Drifts Die-namics and adhered them to the inside of the card. I then blended a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with some Distress Inks (Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers, and Chipped Sapphire) and splattered it lightly with water. I diecut the top of this piece with one of the Ocean Waves Die-namics and then placed this piece slightly behind the open window in the front of the box. Next, I stamped my images onto another piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I used the coordinating “Swimming Hole Friends” Die-namics to cut them out and then attached them to my card in various places.

Lastly, I heat embossed my sentiment on a strip of Black Licorice Card Stock with Fine Detail White Embossing Powder. I used one of the Skinny Strips Die-namics to cut it out and adhered it to the lower front right corner of my card.
Copic Colors Used:
- Lion: Y23, E21, E34; E23, E25, E29
- Palm Tree: YG01, YG25, YG67; E40, E41, E43

WOW, this pop up box scene is amazing. The colors are so rich!!! I am trying to bring my scenes to life, but I’m not good at using dark colors, so they look sort of flat. You are great at it!
